If you have a love and genuine appreciation of Whisky then this one is for you. One of Sydney’s latest hidden bars that seem to be popping up or shall we say going underground in recent months, The Baxter Inn opened its nondescript front door late 2011. Locating The Baxter Inn is half the battle: it can be found via an unmarked laneway off of Clarence Street, between two buildings, across a courtyard and down some stairs. Buried in the basement of a city building, the Baxter Inn is a dedicated Whisky Bar with over 300 Whiskeys to choose from, set amongst the style of an old fashioned saloon bar. The atmosphere is relaxed and is a place where you can sit, talk and not have to compete over loud music. The venue attracts a 25+ aged crowd and has a strong following with the professional crowd.
